Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her film Piano was awarded an Oscar. She began her career as an actor on Broadway and Off Broadway. From her early years, she has been passionate about performing. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. The fifth grade was the year that due to mumps, she lost hearing in the left ear. She did not let that stop her. When she was a teenager, she was a drama student in the college level and then moved from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh to pursue her ambitions. Hunter was able to make her Broadway debut due to a chance meeting with Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. When she moved to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to find movie roles. The role of a supporting actress was securing in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in numerous films and television series and movies throughout a span of more than three decades. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
