Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is renowned for her performances in movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, like an Oscar for the movie Piano. Her career began as an actor on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. From her early years, she has been passionate in the field of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. Mumps made her lose hearing in one of her ears, but this was not enough to stop the actress from fulfilling her dream. When she was in college studying drama, she moved into New York City with her plans with her sights set. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together in Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. Her first role in film came when she moved to Los Angeles. Since her time in Los Angeles she has appeared involved in numerous series and television films. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and the Women in Film Lucy Award.
